-- “Performance Is Everything”: Free Your Music! Enjoy and Stream Wirelessly, with Powerful and Immersive Sound from Boston Acoustics --

New York, NY - November 15, 2012 —> Boston Acoustics, Inc., a world-renowned manufacturer of innovative audio solutions and high performance loudspeakers, today introduced the MC200Air (SRP: $399.99), a superior tabletop wireless loudspeaker system featuring Apple’s AirPlay, which allows users to wirelessly stream their music using iTunes from a Mac or PC, or directly from their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.* The compact MC200Air system is available in either a gloss black or gloss white finish. With its elegant European styling, high-grade materials and premium technology, the MC200Air truly delivers on the Boston Acoustics promise to deliver great sounding, user-friendly products for everyone who enjoys music.

Mitch Nollman, Boston Acoustics Vice President and General Manager, noted: “Boston Acoustics is committed to providing the ideal audio solution for every consumer application. As more and more people discover how liberating it is to listen to their music collections wirelessly using AirPlay, we wanted to find a way to bring the superior Boston Acoustics sound to this popular listening experience. With this in mind, our designers and engineers went back to the drawing board for the MC200Air, utilizing leading edge technologies and design elements to create a unique product that would dovetail its own capabilities and features seamlessly with AirPlay. The result is a new type of high performance music system designed for today’s music lover – and available at an affordable price point.”

Powerful Sound
Thanks to dual 3-1/2" full-range woofers and an angled speaker baffle, users experience powerful room-filling audio and an uncommonly wide soundstage from a system this size. To further enhance the audio performance, the MC200Air features Boston’s BassTrac® circuitry for more bass without distortion. The Boston Acoustics MC200Air has a frequency range of 70Hz to 20kHz.

Listen and Share Truly Great-Sounding Music, Simply and Wirelessly The sleek, compact MC200Air is easy to set up and use, and will fit virtually anywhere in the home or office. It simply connects to a user’s Wi-Fi network, and thanks to AirPlay users can stream their favorite music from any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, or from their Wi-Fi connected PC or Mac using iTunes. The euro-styled system with its clean minimalist design lets users enjoy a dramatically higher quality music experience using AirPlay without compromising their decor.

Music Lovers Rejoice
With AirPlay, the MC200Air streams from iTunes libraries in full original resolution so users can experience their favorite selections just as the artist intended. Plus, users have the option of bringing multi-room playback into the home by streaming to multiple MC200Air systems simultaneously. While one MC200Air can easily fill an entire room with great sound, by adding an additional MC200Air to a bedroom, family room, kitchen, or even garage, users can hear their favorite music, perfectly synchronized wherever they are in the home!

Boston Acoustics’ Live to Listen philosophy continues to drive high quality, high value, easy-to-use products created with passion and excellence.

* AirPlay requires iTunes 10.1 or later and iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 4.2 or later. A home Wi-Fi network is required.
