Who and What Is ISO?

ISO is the acronym for the International Organization for Standardization, a worldwide federation of national standards bodies that represent around 140 countries. This group is responsible for creating the ISO9000 series of global standards for product and service quality. These standards contain requirements that an organization must comply with to manage the processes that influence quality. This compilation of standards forms a quality management system that can be used by all businesses regardless of size, product type, or geographic location.
