Compact sound has never sounded bigger. With a slim profile and small footprint, the HS 40 bookshelf speaker takes up hardly any room. But there’s hardly any room they can’t fill with deep, realistic sound. A fast, Deep Channel® Design (DCD) midrange driver, soft-dome tweeter and second-order crossover network work together to fill virtually any room with rich, realistic sound. And its heavily-braced ABS cabinet reduces resonances while its gently-curved front baffle minimizes diffraction. In a two-channel music system, as surrounds in a multichannel home theater, or as front speakers with the HS 225, this versatile speaker is compact enough to sit comfortably on virtually any shelf or tabletop.

  • 4.5-inch woofer and 1-inch soft dome tweeter
  • Deep Channel® Design (DCD) for more bass from less amplifier power
  • Reduced Baffle Diffraction Design (RBDD) for wider, smoother dispersion
  • MagnaGuard® video shielding Adjustable footings
  • Built-in wall mount brackets

"The Horizon series is a youthful looking package that is complete from small bookshelf units to full size floorstanding speakers and subwoofers. Very nicely engineered, the bookshelf units can be stand or wall mounted, or literally sit on your shelf." - Secrets of Home Theater and High Fidelity, March 2008
