Overview
Enhance your home theater system with powerful low-frequency sound using the MSubwoofer
from Boston Acoustics. This subwoofer contains a 10-inch woofer and two 8-inch passive
radiators to play rich bass with very little distortion. A built-in 500-watt power
amplifier can provide up to 1,000 watts of peak output when needed. Inputs let you
easily connect the subwoofer with your home theater system, while an adjustable
low pass filter allows you to adjust bass extension.
Various Inputs to Connect to Your Home Theater System
To connect seamlessly with your home theater system, the MSubwoofer is equipped
with two types of inputs. The low-frequency effects input is designed to be used
with electronics such as preamplifiers, audio/video receivers, and other devices
with built-in crossover controls. The left and right inputs allow you to optimize
the crossover point between the subwoofer and main speaker by adjusting a single
knob.
Low Pass Filter to Adjust Bass Extension
The MSubwoofer features an adjustable low pass filter that allows you to tune the
subwoofer's output to match the bass extension of the main speakers for optimal
balance. For instance, if your speakers have excellent bass extension, you can set
the subwoofer to produce only the lowest tones.

Reviews
Mark Fleischmann , Home Theater
"That’s why the Boston Acoustics M Series is a speaker system for the times we live in now. It will do anything—and I mean anything—to get your attention. It wants to be the tail that wags the dog, the component that makes you need the other components that make up a system, the tipping point of temptation, square one on the path to a real system. It wants you to take one look and say, 'I want that."
Lawrence Devoe , Blu-rayDefinition.com
"The M Series has been the beneficiary of BA’s long legacy and bears testimony to the fact that good things can come in small packages. After living with these little fellows for nearly two months, and enduring the tedious but essential break-in process, I was rewarded with surprisingly big sound belying their modest size."
