Overview
VSi H470T2 weather-resistant in-ceiling speaker is designed for outstanding durability
and exceptional sonic performance. This weather-resistant ceiling speaker can be
used in bathrooms and other moist interior locations as well as exterior locations
that include some protection from the elements.
Rigorously tested Boston Acoustics High Humidity in-ceiling speakers go through
an exhaustive life test that submits the speakers to many years of exposure to the
elements. The loudspeakers are designed to pass the internationally recognized IEC529
and Mil Spec 810. These tests simulate approximate climatic conditions and provide
an indication of the degrees of weather resistance. Boston Acoustics further submits
these models to long term in-use testing throughout the country.

speakers take key innovations from our most touted traditional loudspeakers and
skillfully adapt them for in-wall and in-ceiling applications. Features include
die-cast woofer baskets and massive front baffles that add rigidity while ensuring
precise alignment of driver components for unparalleled accuracy and near-zero distortion.
We also use die-cast aluminum to create a patented pivoting tweeter cup that acts
as a heat sink – bringing concert hall quality to any room. Finally, all VS Series
models include a boundary compensation switch that allows the sound to be precisely
tailored to counteract the effects of being installed too close -- or too far from,
a corner. The result is optimum sound from any installation location.
